“Frank J. Lichtanski Monterey Bay Operations Center, Architectural & Engineering Services ”

 

Monterey-Salinas Transit is requesting proposals and seeking to select a firm to perform architectural and engineering (A&E) and environmental services in connection with the design and the initial construction phase of the new Frank J. Lichtanski Monterey Bay Operations Center (FJL Center) on the former Fort Ord.  Services will include programming, schematic design, design development, preparation of construction plans, specifications and estimates, construction administration, and record drawings.  In addition, the firm shall prepare all necessary materials and project-level environmental documents for the proposed FJL Center that are necessary to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  The environmental Consultant will be responsible for assessing what level of environmental review is required for this project, preparing draft environmental documents, attending public hearings on the project, preparing responses to comments, and preparing environmental findings necessary to certify the document in accordance with all state and/or federal regulations.  The selected design team will work closely with MST’s Project Manager and other MST staff to complete this important Capital Improvement Project.
