MST Service Changes Go Into Effect May 26, 2007

Service changes for local bus transportation provided by Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will go into effect Saturday, May 26, 2007.

The following lines will be changed or modified:

Line 1x Asilomar-Lovers Point Express: New trip at 7:00 a.m. on Sundays has been added.

Line 21 Monterey-Salinas: Several afternoon trips between Monterey Transit Plaza and Ryan Ranch have been discontinued. Passengers may use DART instead . Call toll free 1-866-663-DART (3278) to schedule a ride.

Line 22 Big Sur: Summer schedule begins with 3 round trips daily.

Line 27 Watsonville-Marina: Northbound trips now leave Moss Landing time-point at :54 past the hour instead of :56 past the hour.

MST Trolley: Summer schedule begins with service every 10 to 12 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

DART: Customers can now take DART to and from Cass Street between El Dorado and Munras.

New Services Coming Soon! –

MST expects to make the following changes tentatively scheduled for implementation later this summer. A follow-up media alert will be forthcoming next month with additional details and confirmation of the date of implementation.

Line 5 - Monterey-Carmel: Service between the Monterey Transit Plaza and the Monterey Conference Center is discontinued. Passengers may use the NEW Line 7 instead.

NEW Line 7 - Monterey-Carmel: Service between the Monterey Conference Center, Monterey Transit Plaza Del Monte Center, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP), and downtown Carmel operates hourly on weekdays from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
