MST ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBER
AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS


The Monterey‑Salinas Transit (MST) Board of Directors elected Fernando Armenta as Chair and Thomas Mancini as Vice-Chair at their February 12, 2007 meeting.

Fernando Armenta represents District 1 on the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. He has been on the MST Board since 1996, having served as Chair the last three consecutive years. He has previously served as Vice-Chair.

Thomas Mancini is a City Council Member for the City of Seaside. He has been on the MST Board since 1999 and has served as Vice-Chair the last three consecutive years.

New to the MST Board is Lisa Senkir. She currently serves on the City Council for the City of Gonzales.

The MST Board of Directors is composed of one representative from the County of Monterey plus seven of the cities MST serves, including; Monterey, Salinas, Carmel-By-The Sea, Seaside, Marina, Del Rey Oaks and Pacific Grove. The city of Gonzales is an ex oficio member.
