Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will provide limited bus service for the upcoming holidays. MST bus lines will operate on a Sunday schedule Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, 2007 and New Year’s Eve, Monday December 31 2007, with the exception of Line 56 operating on a weekday schedule. The following lines will operate on a holiday schedule on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2008:

Line 1 Monterey

Line 5 Carmel - Monterey

Line 9 Fremont - Hilby

Line 10 Fremont-Ord Grove - Monterey

Line 11 Carmel

Line 20 Salinas - Monterey

Line 41 East Alisal - Salinas

Line 56 Monterey-Memorial Hospital will operate on a weekday schedule for all holidays. Line 55 Monterey-San Jose Express will operate on a weekday schedule Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and on a weekend schedule on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All other lines will not be in service on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Regular MST bus service will resume on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, and Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

MST administrative offices in Monterey, the office at the Salinas Transit Center and MST phone lines will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All MST administration offices and phone lines will reopen Wednesday, December 26, 2007 and Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
