Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will hold a public hearing to receive input on the proposed new neighborhood bus service being designed for the city of Marina on Monday, October 15, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. in the Marina City Council Chambers, 211 Hillcrest Ave., Marina, CA. The public is invited to help MST design the zone of operation for this new transit service, to be named “MST On-Call.” Opening soon at the Highway 1 – Imjin Parkway interchange, the new Dunes at Monterey Bay shopping center will be included in the “MST On-Call” zone of operation, as will the new Marina Library. Customers wishing to travel locally in Marina will simply call a toll-free number and schedule a ride whenever they need to travel during the hours of operation of the service (approximately 6:30 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays, with slightly shorter hours on weekends). Timed transfers to other MST bus lines will be available at the new Marina Transit Exchange to enable “MST On-Call” passengers to access MST’s regional route network.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by MST no later than October 12, 2007.
