Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) rolls out its new “On Call” service in Marina Friday, November 23, 2007. MST On Call is a convenient customized service connecting Marina’s neighborhoods and shopping areas with just one phone call.

Passengers can s imply call 1-866-663-3278 to schedule a pick-up approximately one hour in advance. A friendly MST dispatcher will direct them to a safe and nearby pick-up point. A mini-bus will arrive at the nearest safe location within the On Call zone. The bus will take passengers to any location within the zone, including connecting to MST’s regional route network at Gate 5 on the outer “island” of the Marina Transit Exchange. Passengers can even make daily or weekly standing appointments for regular pick-ups for work, school or other travel needs.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30am-8pm, Saturday 8:00am-8:30pm and Sunday 8:00am-6:30pm. Fares are $2 ($1 for youth, elderly, disabled or Medicare card holders) or show an MST pass. Transfers can be purchased for an additional $0.25 ($0.10 for youth, elderly, disabled or Medicare card holders).
