MST BUS SERVICE to LAGUNA SECA Monterey Sports Car Championships American Le Mans Series

For the Monterey Sports Car Championships event, Laguna Seca race fans can ride Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) buses from Salinas and the Peninsula. Service via 37 Laguna Seca-Seaside will operate along with the 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey and the 39 Laguna Seca-Salinas.

Race ticket-holders ride free on these lines and on all MST bus routes Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, 2007 (no service Friday). Return trip service will be available from Laguna Seca. Non-ticket-holders pay the regular MST fare of $2.00 per zone for adults or $1.00 per zone for youth, seniors and disabled. The bus schedule is as follows:

Saturday, October 20:

Line 37 Laguna Seca-Seaside service begins at the Embassy Suites Hotel and runs hourly from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. with stops at Fremont & Canyon Del Rey, and at Casa Verde & Fremont before heading to the raceway. Return trips from the racetrack will operate hourly from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Line 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey service will depart from the Monterey Conference Center hourly between 7:00 and 12:00 p.m. and again between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m., serving the Monterey Transit Plaza, and Monterey Peninsula College parking area before making the trip to the raceway. Return trips from the racetrack will operate hourly between 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Line 39 Laguna Seca-Salinas service will depart from the Salinas Transit Center at the same times listed above for the 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey, stopping at South Main & Nissen before the trip to the raceway.

Sunday, October 22:

Line 37 Laguna Seca-Seaside service begins at the Embassy Suites Hotel and runs hourly from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. with stops at Fremont & Canyon Del Rey, and at Casa Verde & Fremont before heading to the raceway. Return trips from the racetrack will operate hourly from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Line 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey service will depart from the Monterey Conference Center hourly between 7:00 and 12:00 p.m. and again between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., serving the Monterey Transit Plaza, and Monterey Peninsula College parking area before making the trip to the raceway. Return trips from the racetrack will operate hourly between 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Line 39 Laguna Seca-Salinas service will depart from the Salinas Transit Center at the same times listed above for the 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey, stopping at South Main & Nissen before the trip to the raceway.

There will be no direct service to the raceway on line 36 Laguna Seca-Carmel. Riders are instead encouraged to utilize lines 4, 5 and 24 to the Monterey Transit Plaza for service to/from Laguna Seca via line 38 Laguna Seca-Monterey.
