MST LAUNCHES PRESIDIO EXPRESS BUS SERVICE MONDAY

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus service will begin at the Presidio of Monterey Monday, July 6, 2009. Nine new routes will serve active duty service members, DOD employees and NAF employees who commute to work from outside of the Presidio of Monterey in communities throughout the county and as far away as San Jose.

Presidio of Monterey routes include:
Line 71 Presidio - Marina Express
Line 72 Presidio - N. Salinas Express
Line 73 Presidio - Prunedale Express
Line 74 Presidio - Preston Park Express
Line 75 Presidio - Marshall Park Express
Line 76 Presidio - Stilwell Park Express
Line 77 Presidio - Seaside
Line 78 Presidio - Pacific Grove
Line 79 Presidio - San Jose Express

The new express bus routes will be open to the general public; however if a passenger desires access onto the Presidio of Monterey military installation, they will be required to display official military or DOD-civilian identification card/badge. Click Here For Maps And Schedules

The new Presidio of Monterey bus services are funded entirely by the Federal Mass Transit Benefit/Transportation Incentive program (TIP) through the Department of Transportation.
