Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) has completed the installation of new Siemens OnStreet electronic signs at each gate at the Salinas Transit Center. These electronic signs were installed at the recently opened Marina Transit Exchange and are now fully operational at the Salinas Transit Center.

All MST buses are equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS), which communicate with the new electronic gate signs. These signs display the line number and destination of the bus, as well as a countdown to bus arrival and departure times. To ensure accuracy of the OnStreet signs, schedule information is updated every 60 seconds. At the Marina Transit Exchange and Salinas Transit Center, customers now have real-time information regarding schedules and routes, enabling them to better plan their trips aboard MST buses. Additional OnStreet signs are being ordered for other major bus transfer points, including downtown Monterey, Del Monte Shopping Center, Northridge Mall and the Crossroads Shopping Village.
