The Monterey-Salinas Transit Board of Directors unanimously appointed
Carl G. Sedoryk as General Manager/CEO at their monthly meeting September 12th.
Sedoryk succeeds long-time General Manager/CEO Frank J. Lichtanski who passed away earlier this year after a brief struggle with cancer.
Sedoryk began his career in transit in 1988 at Long Beach Transit in Long Beach, California where he was hired as an Information Systems Manager. He was promoted to Executive Director of Administrative Services in 1995.
Sedoryk joined MST in June 2000 as Assistant General Manager. During the course of his career at MST, he was promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, adding Operations and Maintenance activities to his scope of responsibility.
Sedoryk earned a B.A. Business Administration, Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino, and an M.B.A., Finance degree from California State University, Long Beach.
MST Board Chair Fernando Armenta stated “the Board of Directors is confident that Carl will add a new dimension to the leadership of Monterey-Salinas Transit and we all look forward to working with Carl and his executive leadership team”. |
